My wife and I were recently browsing children's music on Apple iTunes and came across a series of albums from over the years on which children provide back-up vocals to some of the more innocent top 40 hits from recent years. Mixed in there were a couple of seasonal albums, too, such as Christmas and Halloween songs. On the Halloween album was Michael Jackson's "Thriller."

I shuddered but went ahead and played the 30-second sample. Afterwards, my wife, shaking her head ruefully, said, "That's just not right."

I responded, "What, children covering Michael Jackson? If the rumors are true, then I'm sure he wouldn't want it any other way."
