Gentlemen,
The accusations made that we Navy (other services too) pilots use our laser targetting pods on civilian automobiles is ridiculous. I can assure you that we are well aware of the effects of lasing people. One of which is potential eye damage. I know of no pilots I fly with who would intentionally Lase an automobile on the highway. Well okay, maybe I did it once, but that was a car on the road between Basra and Baghdad and I didn't feel bad about it. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a BMW.
