Heard these two stories on NPR this morning, nearly back to back, and couldn't resist thinking there's a link.

Story 1--Saturn is recalling some enormous number of cars because 
           the driver's seat can suddenly recline or collapse! 
           Neat mental image of dozens of abruptly disappearing 
           drivers along 95, isn't it? 

Story 2--One of the defendants in the Louima case, Justin Volpe, 
           suddenly decided to drop out of the trial and plead guilty. 
           The judge told the jury that they were to "draw no conclusion 
           from the disappearance of Mr Volpe from the defendants' table." 

Hmmm . . . maybe he drives a Saturn.
