During a heated discussion regarding food supply, population control
and hygiene problems in developing countries as well as promiscuity in
the west, I formulated the following theorem and corollary.
Theorem: A prosperous society necessarily has control at three
orifices: 1) the mouth
2) the genitalia
and
3) the asshole.
Corollary: A prosperous society usually begins to decay by losing
control at orifice number 2.
