This is (so far as I know) original. It came to me while waiting in line to buy 3-cent stamps. The Postal Service has chosen a portrait for the first 32-cent stamp. It is based on an existing design, so it is highly cost-effective. Moreover, it perfectly embodies the spirit of the 'new' U.S. Postal Service. They're going to use the 'fat' Elvis.
